Detailed Itinerary of Upper Mustang Trek


Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu.

Landing your flight at TIA, our representative will be there for your warm welcome. He/she are for your arrival. You will be shifted to your place of accommodation. You can have full rest after a long flight. From the next day our routine will be according to our itinerary. Make full preparation for it.

Day 02: Kathmandu exploration and preparation for trek.

We will spend our day roaming all around Kathmandu valley. For you there will be guide who will pick you up in your hotel. We will start our day tour after breakfast. It is very easy. At first we will visit Pashupatinath. It is holiest temple of Lord Shiva. Our next destination is Boudhanath. It is known as little Tibet. Finishing this we will move on to Swyambhunath. It is also known as monkey temple. Lastly we will drive to Basantapur Durbar Square. Finishing all this we will return back to hotel and make further preparation.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (7 to 8 hours)

We will drive to Pokhara. During our drive it will be interesting to see roadside houses in corner of dense forest. After a drive of 6 to 7 hours we will be at Pokhara. Pokhara is one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal. In Pokhara we can spend our leisure time exploring around sweet city and area of beautiful Lakesides.

Day 04: Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (2700m) and trek to Kagbeni (2858m) - 4 Hours

With an early morning mountain flight we start our trek to Jomsom. It goes for about 1 Hr. in this duration we will feel as we are flying in heaven. Just above beautiful ranges of mountains we will be flying. Landing on Jomsom we start our walk to Kagbeni. First day walk will be a bit difficulty for new trekkers.

Day 05: Kagbeni to Chele (3050m) - 6 Hours

Resuming our destination we walk to our next destination Chele. At first we will check our permit in police bit to start our upper mustang trek. It is known as wilderness area. Finishing this we walk to our destination. We walk in forested area. We will obviously love this area as it is very fresh and clean environment.

Day 06: Chele to Syangboche (3475m) - 7 Hours

Today we continue our trek to Syangboche. Our starting point is Ekle Bhatti. From here we steadily walk uphill. We need to cross Taklam La pass 3624 m. From the top we can view magnificent beautiful mountain ranges. It will so much impressive. Walking around 7 hours we reach Syangboche.

Day 07: Syangboche to Ghaymi (3520m) - 6 Hours

From Syangboche we continue our trek to Ghaymi. Today also we start walking uphill. We cross Yamda La 3850 m. In our path we explore teahouses of local village's. It is influenced by Tibetan culture & tradition. It will be interesting to explore. Like this our zigzag path leads us to Ghaymi for our night.

Day 08: Ghaymi to Charang (3500m) - 5 Hours

Our next destination is Charang. Very long Mani wall located beside plate is very important things. It is a sacred stone wall made by followers of Buddhism. We need to explore about them. Walking about 5 to 6 hours we reach Charang village. This village is very famous for fields of maize.

Day 09: Charang to Lo-Manthang (3700m) - 6 Hours

Early morning having breakfast we continue our walk to Lo-Manthang. Our today's track will be main path. Our track offers us spectacular views of Annapurna I, Bhrikuti, Nilgiri, Tilicho Peak. This gives us full of joy. After walking continuously for about 6 hours we reach Lo-Mangthang. This village is very cool to spend our night.

Day 10: Acclimatization at Lo-Manthang

Today we rest at Lo Manthang. We accumulate our self to match our body's temperature with climatic condition of surrounding. We have enough leisure time. We spend our leisure time by exploring around places over Lo Manthang. From here we can get knowledge of tradition & culture of local people.

Day 11: Lo-Manthang to Drakmar (3810m) - 7 Hours

Making our body temperature match with surrounding environment we continue our walk to Drakmar. We walk through Gyakar with Ghar Gompa. It is more than 1200 years old. We can observe it. It will be impressive to view close view of beautiful mountain ranges. Playing on nature we reach Drakmar.

Day 12: Drakmar to Ghiling (3806m) - 6 Hours

We have finished our all most all destination. We need to return back. We get eay trial in returning. We just need to walk down track. Our today's destination is Ghilling. We follow main trial in beautiful surrounding of natural environment. Walking around 5 to 6 hours we reach Ghiling. Here we can Rome around the village.

Day 13: Ghiling to Chhuksang (3050m) - 6 Hours

In our returning journey it will be so much easy in walking. We just need to trek downward following the main trial to reach Chhuksang. The same beauty of nature with mountain ranges from different angel will be so much impressive. Continuing in downhill track we will reach Chhuksang for our night.

Day 14: Chhuksang to Jomsom (2700m) - 7 Hours

From Chhuksang, we continue our walk to Jomsom. Jomsom will be our ending point of our trek. We can easily reach Jomsom as we need to walk on flat and downhill track. Today's walk is long distance walk in easy trial. Reaching on jomsom we make confirmation of our tomorrow's flight to Pokhara.

Day 15: Jomsom to Pokhara

With an early morning mountain flight to Pokhara, our whole trek is completed. It goes for about 1 Hr. in this duration we will feel as we are flying in heaven. Just above beautiful ranges of mountains we will be flying. Landing on Pokhara we spend our remaining time on visiting the area of Pokhara.

Day 16: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Today we will return back to Kathmandu. We return back through the Prithivi highway. Greenery of highway will be so much impressive. Our lunch program is all managed in our way. We can have direct flight from pokhara to Kathmandu. From our flight we cannot enjoy the nature like drive.

Day 17: Farewell

Keeping good memory of Nepal, it's time to return back to our home land. We will organize a small farewell program for you. You will be given all instruction and management of your departure is all managed by our team. Hope you will again return back to Nepal for visiting next beautiful side.
